album,
coming out March/April 2003! Banjo for the Beatle... Cool, huh?

Music:
With
their roots firmly planted in bluegrass history, Old & In The
Gray reunites Peter Rowan, David Grisman and Vassar Clements from
the original bluegrass boundary-breakers Old & In The Way. Sparked
by a performance at one of David's Birthday Bash concerts in 1996,
these three musicians of the highest bluegrass caliber called upon
veteran banjo player and vocalist supreme Herb Pedersen to fill
the slot left vaant by the late Jerry Garcia. Brynn Bright (young
and not gray) keeps the beat pumping on upright bass, preserving
the great feel established by the late John Kahn.
Old
& In The Gray can surely attest to bluegrass music's coming
of age.. arriving in a time of mass cultural awareness, reminiscent
of the effect of the original Old & In The Way album in 1975.

Records in England will be re-issuing the 1976 album"Southwest"
- Also,
he recently got back from the Bay Area, where he recorded a new
project with David Grisman, Vassar Clements, Pete Rowan, and Bryn
Bright (bass player), for David's label, Acoustic Disc. This will
be the latest Old & In The Way creation, since the death of
Jerry Garcia, entitled
"Old & In The Grey"...(click
